The events of September 11, 2001, were indeed tragic, however, the strength of our cohesiveness and humanity as a people was never so clear as it was in the hours and days that followed.

Exit1 was proud to have been asked by the American Liberty Partnership (AOL Time Warner, Microsoft, Cisco Systems, Yahoo, eBay and Amazon.com) to design and produce the Liberty Unites donation portal site (www.libertyunites.org), a Web site that gave Americans a single, identifiable and credible online resource through which to make their donations. The staff of Exit1 was so moved by the events of the 11th and by the outpouring of good will that soon followed, all Exit1 project services were donated toward the cause. Two days after the launch of Liberty Unites, we were very proud to hear President George W. Bush promote the Web site in his address to the Joint Session of Congress on September 20th -- the first ever Web URL mentioned by a U.S. President to both houses of Congress. The combined contributions of all online donations exceeded $110,000,000.
